Display

!?

Working out how to display the 'conversations'. Here the display, consisting of a PCboard Crusader cross and a 'medal', is on top of old patternmaking paper with all the beautiful folds and creases (adding texture). The label at the bottom adds to the layout and the organised (male?) feeling of the display.

NSA Exhibition

I am trying to decide on the best way to display the assemblages... trying different papers on top of each other. The one at the bottom is an old sewing pattern that has been unfolded. I quite like the old and folded look ... it is also a 'feminine' pice of paper, much like the logarithm page is, supposedly, male.

Sine ...?! I wanted to use the page from a logarithm book to provide the masculine counterpoint for the feminine medal... Wondering what 'sin' and 'tan' actually meant I followed the trail on the internet and discovered, at word-origins that 'sine' is latin for 'curve, fold and hollow' ... characteristics that I 'exploit' extensively in my prints...

Display stand

The display stands finally arrived... Here I'm showing a 'Crusader Medal' print...

For display... It's not so obvious, but it was very difficult and I burned the top left corner... So I'm trying to make a different design... to follow...

The prints do have a more substantial feel when displayed in this stand, so I need to perservere.... or find someone that can do it professionally. I bought a heat gun but it is still quite tricky, trying not to scratch the sheet and bend it evenly...

I remembered that Margie, from Africa Nova, said she knew of someone who could do this, so I asked her, and she gave me Angelo's number at Elegant Plastics ... and ordered 20 stands, or menu holders, as he calls them.
