Symmetry in a moth?

A camouflaged dead moth

I look to nature for examples of symmetry and then I find this moth that looks camouflaged in spite of being symmetrical.

I often turn to nature for design inspiration

Moth

I found this moth sitting just outside the door... The colour isn't true to life but close enough to show how spectacular... I also do think that there isa series of prints lurking in here somewhere...

M's brooch

'inspiration' ... This is a brooch I bought for Marlene... I bought it at a shop called 'Lulu' I think... It specialises in this over tht top type jewellery. I really liked the way that the brooch consists of layers on top of each other. I think that I /we (in the department) should make more of this type of jewellery... It is really not all that difficult, it just looks complex. Withh a little bit of thought we can do this... Maybe it should be a student project?

I wonder of I can't use the idea to put layers of my images/prints on top of each other to et this effect?

K.sol

Interesting shapes... This whole idea of having shapes and gaps that open and are being filled seems a subtle/major issue for me...
