Snake skin

The shedded(?) skin of the 'brown house snake' which turned out to be a southern brown egg eater.
I am very pleased that such a snake lives with us. It makes me wonder what else is very close and all around me that I am not aware of. I will post a picture of the skin, with the previous skin, to show the increase in size.

Aloe and ants

One of my little aloes was flowering so I put it on the table on the verandah so I could see it every morning while having coffee. Looking closer I saw strange looking red ants.
