Caterpillar

I recently found these worms eating a Halleria shrub in our garden...

 I noticed their numbers started dwindling, so I caught one so I could see what it becomes... It buried itself and has now become a pupae...

can anyone tell me what it is, so I know how long to wait for the adult to appear?
